PSYCHODYNAMIC PSYCHOTHERAPY
I'll help you explore your past experiences to uncover the root causes of your distress and discover how past events are influencing your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With an increased understanding, your self-acceptance and self-compassion will grow, enabling you to break free from what’s been holding you back.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORIAL THERAPY (CBT)
CBT will help you challenge distorted thoughts and problematic behaviors while also strengthening your coping skills. CBT can help you reduce and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
MINDFULNESS
Staying rooted in the present will help you quiet anxiety, get relief from depression, and recognize and address unproductive behaviors. Through mindfulness, you’ll learn to control your thoughts rather than be controlled by them, leading to more calm, self-confidence, and hopefulness.
PSYCHOEDUCATION
Learning about the common and treatable nature of mental health conditions, you’ll feel less shame, self-blame, and isolation. Psychoeducation empowers you with the knowledge to manage your symptoms, navigate challenges, and advocate for your needs — ultimately helping you take more control over your healing and overall wellbeing.
TRAUMA RECOVERY & POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH
Trauma occurs when something very tough happens to you — whether in childhood or recently — and it overwhelms your ability to cope. To guard against re-traumatization and feelings of helplessness, you can become easily triggered and unknowingly hyper-focused on survival or avoidance. With compassionate, trauma-informed therapy, you can calm this over-activated survival instinct and learn strategies for managing intense emotions. We'll work to restore your sense of balance and control, strengthen your stress response skills, and embrace self-compassion so you can safely release traumatic memories and heal from painful wounds.
SOMATIC APPROACHES

ABOUT
I am a licensed psychotherapist in New York City with over two decades of experience in mental health and education. I offer telehealth psychotherapy and coaching to women across New York State, providing support through every stage of life. I hold a graduate degree in Social Work from Hunter College and completed advanced training in trauma recovery and post-traumatic growth at the National Institute of the Psychotherapies.

I don't participate in any insurance networks, but if you have out-of-network benefits, most insurance companies will reimburse you for a significant portion of the cost of psychotherapy. I’m happy to provide you with documentation to submit directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
